Hi Michael, I wanted to take some time when I got home to look through these as to not hold up your process. First, I want you to know that this was more for me than participating in the calendar project. For me, this was a form of artistic expression that makes a beautiful statement through your and Keegan's amazing talents. In any case I sort of feel like this was the closing chapter in the last 7 years of dealing with this disease process.

I see this as really a beautiful way to say good by to that portion of my life and then step forward into the world as a whole person free of cancer and ready to take on a new life a new beginning. I thought I was dealing with my initial diagnosis fine, and making it to the 5 year mark was powerful. But the recurrence three weeks later took on a life of it's own, coupled with the repulsive comments from my boss threw me into a place that can make you or break you. I choose to live my life, uncensored and the best way I know how. I really believe that this project would be a perfect way to gently write the final chapter to all that pain, suffering, worry, and consumption of my entire life with the enemy Cancer and a beautiful, artistic way to put that final stamp on the final chapter and then when I washed it all off, I washed off that pain and stepped out of the pool a brand new person ready to go forward.

Sitting in the chair, being painted by Keegan was a magical, out of body experience for me. It seemed as though she was erasing, with each brushstroke, the pain, the insecurity and the identity that was thrust upon me, without my invitation, as a woman with breast cancer was leaving in a beautiful way...I can tell you when I walked out of the pool at the hotel and the paint had washed off, I felt younger, happier and beautiful again.

I am PROUD to be a part of this project and as promised, in a couple of days, will be sending you some contacts for marketing some pieces and hopefully getting the husband and wife survivor's.

Sorry about rambling on and on but I wanted you to know how important this trip was for me and what a special place you and Keegan will always hold in my heart.

Cindy, my cups don't runneth over (lol) but my soul is at peace and I can't stop smiling...
